Kenny graduated from the Masters of Social Work program at Western Carolina University in 2018. He joined Vecinos in December 2018 to help transform the clinic to include behavioral health care. He has also helped develop the mental health program for outreach. Kenny is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and substance use counselor (LCASA) who developed the Salud Mental integrated health care program with Vecinos Farmworker Health Program.

Kenny has over 11 years experience working in mental health with a BA in Psychology. Kenny solidified his Spanish as a Peace Corps volunteer in Panama. He spent about 2 years promoting environmental health in a rural Latino community of subsistence
Farmers.

FUN FACT: Kenny is one of three bilingual mental health providers in Western NC that provides services in Spanish. He is dedicated to improving his skills and ability to serve the LatinX community as well as youth at risk.
