About Vecinos

Vecinos is a 501(c)3 nonprofit health care organization serving and advocating for farmworkers and uninsured, low-income adults in western North Carolina. We have a specific focus on the Latinx and farmworker community.

Executive Assistant

We are currently accepting applications for an Executive Assistant.

The Executive Assistant assists the Executive Director and Board of Directors in administrative and operational management of the organization.

Patient Navigator

We are currently accepting applications for a Patient Navigator.

The Patient Navigator helps guide the patient through the healthcare system, working to overcome barriers that prevent a patient from receiving the care and treatment they require.

Community Health Worker I

We are currently accepting applications for a Community Health Worker I.

The Community Health Worker (CHW) I enhances the quality of patients’ healthcare by
providing supportive services. The CHW I has a focus on, and advanced knowledge of, Latino
identity, language, and cultural expectations of healthcare systems.

Pharmacist

We are currently accepting applications for a Pharmacist.

The Pharmacist provides pharmacy services to patients/medical practitioners. Receives,
fills prescriptions, dispenses pharmaceuticals, consults with clients regarding the nature and use of drugs, and trains and/or supervises personnel. Performs routine quality control testing procedures; prepares and maintains all necessary records required by federal, state, and local regulations.

Pharmacy Technician

We are currently accepting applications for a Pharmacy Technician.

The Pharmacy Technician works closely with the Pharmacist to ensure the health and safety of their patients. They locate, dispense, pack, and label a prescribed medication for a patient that is then reviewed for accuracy by the Pharmacist before being dispensed to the patient.

Part-Time Registered Nurse

We are currently accepting applications for a Part-Time Registered Nurse.

The Registered Nurse applies the nursing principles of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for Vecinos patients and acts as a liaison between patients, their families, doctors, and health care teams.
