Annika Mahan, CNA

Clinical Assistant

“I grew up in the mountains of North Carolina, and attended Western Carolina University where I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Sociology in May 2021. I started working with Vecinos in January of 2021 as an intern and I fell in love with the organization and the people we serve. I was honored to join the team full time in June assisting with clinic and program administration.

Farmworkers are an integral part of our community and Vecinos is not just a place for them to receive culturally appropriate healthcare, but a place for them to feel safe and honored for their work. I love how Vecinos has brought awareness to our local community of the struggles farmworkers face, and how we work with an array of institutions to provide even more support.”

FUN FACT: “I enjoy gardening, and making my own batches of compost for my garden.”
